How Committed Are You To Really Going Green?

Are You Going Green Because You Want to Be Green … Or Because You Have to Be Green?

Austin, Texas: I work with two main types of clients: those that are going green because they want to be green — and those that are going green because they were told that they have to be green.

That second group could include customers who want to go green because their competition has become more environmentally-friendly.

It would also include customers going green because someone in their supply chain requires them to be green, those who think “going green” is a hot trend they need to ride out… and even those who “try to go green whenever possible”.

How committed are you to really going green?

Going Green is a state of mind– a state of being and acting.

It is best achieved when it becomes part of your mission statement or core values.

Like becoming a vegan or going gluten-free, it takes commitment and sacrifices to reach that level.

I believe the great sage, Kermit the Frog, once said, “It ain’t easy being green.”

Be green when nobody is watching.

Be green because it is the right thing to do.

Be green because it is part of your core value.

Be a proselytiser of green.

Be a spokesperson and campaigner for green.

Make green part of your mission statement.

Let’s help make the world a greener place – one person at a time.
