Honor Veteran's Day- Develop More Alternative Energy

  • Nov 11, 2010

This Veteran’s Day, as we hear the media talk of “honoring our troops” and “remembering how veterans have died for our freedom”, now is the time to reflect on one of the most patriotic ways to pay our respect to our veterans– and that is to remove our troops from the Middle East and stop fighting petro wars.

Now is the time to push through more alternative energy sources and find and fund ways to avoid our dependence on foreign oil.

Over 23 million veterans are still alive in this country – and the majority of those under 45 have spent time in the Middle East. What can be more patriotic than developing clean energy solutions and stopping our funding of Middle East terrorists?

I was at a conference the other day (Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association) which focused on solar, wind, biomass, geothermal and hydrokinetic energy. It was an excellent show which put together manufacturers, financial, sales and service organizations under one roof to encourage partnerships and discussions.

I came away from this 2-day event with a greater understanding
